Sightseeing in Vienna:
To gain an overall impression of the most significant sights of Vienna at the beginning of your holidays we recommend the Grand City Tour with Schönbrunn Palace.
It will show you the Ringsstraße along the state opera, the museum of fine arts, the museum of natural history, the Hofburg, the parliament, the city hall, the Burgtheater and the university. The highlight will be a visit of Schönbrunn palace.
Duration: App. 3 1/2 hours. The tour ends at the Vienna state opera.

For people who want to enjoy the flair of the city of Vienna in an individual way.
Theater Tickets:
If you need some information about cultural events or need assistance by purchasing the tickets let us know. The monthly programm is available at the reception.
Dogs:
Your dog is also highly welcome at the Schrannenhof. But we kindly ask our guests not to bring your little (or bigger) darling into the breakfast room in the morning.
Parking:
Parking is available free of charge during your stay. Due to a limited capacity we kindly ask you to take care that there will be enough space left for other cars.
Smoking/Non smoking:
All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. For your cigarette you can use the outside area in our garden.
Internet
Wifi is accessable in all parts of the hotel free of charge!
Public transportation:
Not only the beautiful landscape of Klosterneuburg makes our town interesting for people, who wants to visit Vienna. Also the public transportation ist another plus for Klosterneuburg. Busses to Vienna are leaving every 10-20 minutes, the trains every 30 minutes. With one change you reach the historical city center of Vienna within 25 minutes.
Transfer:
Transfers are available from the airport or any train-station in Vienna. Please tell us the number of People/day and time of your arrival and we will let you know the rates. Return transfers from the hotel to the airport or train-station can be booked on the day of arrival.
Eating & Drinking in Klosterneuburg:
Our Cafe-Restaurant Veit is located right next door. It is open daily (except Wednesday) starting at 07:30 am and offers you traditional austrian and international cuisine. You can find the menu at the ground floor next to the reception desk. One or the other beer or a good glass of wine together with a tasty dinner can be the perfect finish of a perfect day.
Viennese Coffehouse:
Until today the famous Vienese Coffeehouses kept a touch of tradition and their special atmosphere. Like the well-known poet Alfred Polgar said: "your not at home and still not open air".
Don´t order simply a coffee! Let yourself surprise by a number of variations and specialities.
The ESSL-museum - contemporary art (NOTE! Only till end of june 2016):
with 4500 pieces of austrian and international modern art is one of the most important private collections in Europe. Many special exibitions and workshops are offered to the visitors.

Stift Klosterneuburg monestary:
The most important sight of our town ist the "Augustiner Chorherren Stift Klosterneuburg".
The unique treasures of the abbey are open to the public daily.
Heuriger:
The tradition of wine-growing in Klosterneuburg goes back to the time of the ancient romans. Heaps of cosy "Heurigen" (wine taverns) are still a popular meeting place for the locals as well as for guests from all over the world. There are many things to say about the Klosterneuburg wine. To check which one is your favourite, the "Riesling", the "Veltliner" or some other speciality, tasting is the best way to find out.
